Kyrenia municipal open air market. Here you will find fantastic
value on a vast range of goods, especially fruit, vegetables,
cheeses, yoghurts, oils and vinegars (often brought in from the
country by farming families), fish, footwear, clothing and all sorts

Famagusta Market. Friday weekly.
Here you can buy about everything you might need; clothing,
household items, flowers, fish and fresh fruit and vegetables. You
can also buy freshly pressed olive oil there, mostly made by the
vendor itself (and it does come very often in re-used bottles of

Guzelyurt Market. Saturday weekly.
Everything from clothes, shoes, nuts, sweets, olive oil,
honey, home made cheese as well as fruit and vegetables are sold.
Produce is fresh, and local people are encouraged to sell the excess
from their own gardens. The market opens early, and continues till
about 1pm. It is situated on the main street opposite the museum and

8pm, Altinkaya Rooftop Bar, Girne. The Cheshire Homes is holding a
Wine and Canapés night. All the best South African wines and posh
nosh with music from Sandy and Huseyin, dancing to DJ Mike and the
Kibris Liners too. The only Cheshire Home in the Middle East is
situated just outside Girne near the Bellapais roundabout. Some of
the equipment has become rather dilapidated so a small group of
expats are trying to raise both money and the Home's profile among
the expat community. Did you know that if you need physical therapy
(perhaps a broken bone), we can not only provide the medical
expertise at a very reasonable cost, but also any equipment you may
need (crutches, walking sticks, wheelchair, etc.) will be loaned to
you in exchange for a donation. Cheaper than buying new! Tickets
